About Kristy Jessica
Hello! My name is Kristy Jessica, and I have been a freelance model since I became a legal adult in 2005. My first gig was booked on Myspace! In the early days of my career, I was rebelling against my strict religious upbringing. I wanted to express myself in ways that were deemed sinful (you know, showing off my shoulders and cleavage and such, apparently punishable by eternity in hell!)
Back then, freelance models were mostly lone wolves – fending for ourselves and trying to blaze our own trails. I modeled for lots of group shoots, go-go danced, and I loved dark, moody themes. My earliest commercial work was for “A Little Touch of Magick” gothic apparel and the “Sandmaiden Sleepwear” sheer lingerie catalog.
In 2012, I hit rock bottom in my alcoholism and lost my car, cat, relationship, home, and my job. Rather than wallow in pity, I learned to function in sobriety and model full-time.
In 2014, I moved from my hometown in Seattle to San Diego. My experimental, creative community was replaced by SoCal’s lust for glamour. I worked with many talented individuals and was featured in Penthouse Black Label Magazine, Playboy TV, Playboy Radio, Playboy Mexico, and countless independent glamour magazines.
Though San Diego had great weather, I felt I did not fit in well, and by late 2016 I moved back to Seattle. After accomplishing so many glamour publications, I was being rejected by fine art photographers, which lit the fire under my ass to diversify my portfolio with more artistic themes.
By 2017, my documentary “Bring Something Sexy” was released, and I self-published a book called, “Posing Ideas for Glamour, Fine Art, and Facial Expressions“. Yoga and underwater modeling became my new obsessions in my journey to try new and interesting photographic themes.
It was around this time that Lindsay Adler hired me to participate in her video tutorial series, “Intro to Fine Art Nude Photography”. Her workshops are the best! I have since modeled for her art nude classes many times.
Wanderlust became my middle name, and I traveled and created in Singapore, Australia, Romania, Tahiti, Thailand, Bahamas, New Zealand, the Philippines, Italy, Brazil, Belize, Colombia, Bali, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Croatia, and Mexico.
Vanlife changed the trajectory of my travels from overseas back to American soil. I was lucky to have moved into my van in 2019, as the pandemic in 2020 forced us all to shelter in place. I traveled with my partner, Travis, to many amazing places! White Sands, Moab, Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington, and all the way across the country!
I rekindled my love for creating in old wastelands and abandoned buildings throughout this era. Over the next few years, I found myself completely enamored with the stunning landscapes and rock formations of South Utah.
By 2024, we moved into an apartment in Phoenix, AZ, where I currently reside. I still travel to major cities for shoots, but focus much of my time modeling in nature areas in Arizona, Joshua Tree, Utah, and hope to explore more of New Mexico soon!
